STAFFORD, Conn. - Ted Christopher won the Tech-Net Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST for the third year in a row, and the fifth time overall on Saturday.
Christopher, who had topped the charts in a final practice session earlier in the day, took the lead from Jimmy Blewett on lap 146 and then held on in a final two-lap dash to the finish after a late-race caution.
The event concluded with a multi-car accident on the frontstretch at mid-pack after the leaders had taken the white flag, making the race official. Christopher was followed across the line by Bobby Santos, Mike Stefanik, Rowan Pennink, Todd Szegedy, James Civali, Chuck Hossfeld, Eric Berndt, Erick Rudolph and Justin Bonsignore.
Nice win TC. Keep the wins coming!
TC should have thanked Johnny Bush for that win!!! What happened was a part of racing, but when you are going 2 laps down only 47 or 48 laps into a 200 lap race you need to get out of the way....Santos ended up with a bent rim and never changed it and still finished 2nd!! But congrats to TC for getting his 3rd Sizzler win in a row tying Mynard Troyer with that record!
Bad day to be the leader all around. Both the 4 and the 99 got bounced. The 36 was dialed in though. He was rolling off the corners like nobody's business. I thought the mandatory 2 stop rule was interesting. Does anyone know if they will do anything like that for the 125 lap event on the 28th? If not, I would imagine a lot of teams could run it without pitting.
Congrats to TC! and the entire 36 team.
A team win, great job by the 36 team. TC is in an elite club now tied with Mr. Troyer at 3 in a row.
congrats teddy and the whole 36 team. awesome job
Great Job... 3 in a row is awesome... Keep the wins coming... Good luck for the rest of the year...
