    Airborne/ Thunder Road

Really excited about this doubleheader weekend.

Any idea how many cars are going to both?

I hear there is a 400 bonus to the driver who has the best average finish for the two races.

Based on his run last week, I think we're going to see Eric Goodale take down the bonus money, keep an eye out for him. He's getting stronger every week.

Eric would be a good choice. He was all kinds of fast at Malta until his coil wire came off after a mid-race restart. I was a miracle he didn't get run over there. Wish I could make this double but
    can't.

I emailed the promoter asking about internet availability and shortly thereafter he answered me saying that they have internet. No I'm worried about the Duponts.

Thanks! I read the 'Live" report before checking over here. Thanks again to everyone for all the work that they put in here.

Coming home from Thunder Road after the double header. Some thoughts: great seeing two races in a weekend, great seeing a new track (Airborne), glad Hinckley won the 400 extra money for the double header, tough weekend for Rowan Pennink, and what happened in the heat races at Thunder Road. (Pennink flipped his car). Of the two races Airborne was the better of the two. Hope they have this again next year.

    Thumbs up

Great local TV coverage of the racing and the wild MRS finish. Thanks for posting the link as given the description of the finish and seeing the photos doesn't quite do what watching that video does! Thanks JED!

Wow, local TV coverage of auto racing. Interesting concept.

Yes, local TV at both Airborne and Thunder Road.

I watched one TV station Saturday night after getting to the hotel. The MRS at Airborne was a big event. The return in 30 something years of Asphalt Modifieds to the track. A big story.

By the way both speedways welcomed and worked with the TV. Both had packed grandstands, a coincidence?

Both also are very nice facilities with well run programs. Airborne even had a trolley to help move people.
