    Friday NHMS Tidbit and notes

This morning in the Modified pit area:
    - The #52 team is working on the car that was damage during an incident in practice. Thursday, Modified Cars had just re-started the practice session after a caution that was called for Doug Coby in the #12 Partridge car. The #12 had blown an engine (spec) and dropped oil all over the track. The green flag flew after track crew had completed clean-up. Quarterly lost control to the #52 car as it exited turn four and the car climbed the wall coming out of the turn and into the fronstretch. When Quarterly was able to get the car off the wall, it came across the track and went right into the #93 car of Rowan Pennink who was running hard with other cars on the track.

    - The #3 and #76 teams are working on the backup #3 car for Eric Beers to race in tomorrow. Beers blew an engine in the #76 car yesterday during practice.

    - #12 Partridge car that Doug Coby drove yesterday, the team is working to get a replacement engine in the car to replace the spec engine that blew during practice.

So tomorrow Dale Quarterly, Eric Beers and Doug Coby will all have to start at the rear of the field when the checker flags fly tomorrow.

    - We also noted that Ted Christopher's #36 car was also over in the same area being worked on. At the time that we came into the pits there was no one at the car.

Walking through the modified pit area there are several crew's working on their cars. This is not an impound race.

The #70 team of Andy Seuss, #51 team of Justin Bonsignore, #26 car of Gary McDonald, #4 of Bobby Santos, II, #98 of Erick Rudolph, #36 of TC, #59 of Chuck Hossfeld...

The Suess crew is working on the rear end of the #70 car to address an oil leak. The other teams are checking their cars out and tweaking where it is needed. It is like studying for an exam and doing the last minute cram and double check.

Lap 32 - Second caution of K&N Pro Series East Race as Car #2 for Ryan Gifford spins.

Cars will be racing 125 laps so they will have to pit during this race because they will not be able to complete all 125 laps without pitting.

Several of the cars have pitted during caution.
