SPEED To Broadcast UNOH Southern Slam 150

NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Finale From Charlotte To Air Saturday, Oct. 16

The season finale for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour, the UNOH Southern Slam 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, will be broadcast on tape-delay on SPEED.

The tour will visit Charlotte Motor Speedway for the first time on Thursday, Oct. 14. SPEED will air the race on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 2:30 p.m. ET.

It will be the inaugural appearance for the Whelen Southern Modified Tour at the quarter-mile track located along the track’s frontstretch.

The UNOH Southern Slam 150 will be part of Bojangles’ Pole Night activities at the track with qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour is set for an historic five-way battle for the championship heading into the final race of the season. James Civali enters the race with a three point lead over Andy Seuss, with L.W. Miller just 32 out of the lead. Burt Myers and John Smith are 41 and 65 points, respectively, behind Civali.

Veteran SPEED announcers Rick Allen and Phil Parsons will call the race.

Take 85 south to Charlotte just like going to Concord. Get off at Exit 49, turn left on Bruton Smith Blvd. Track is 2 miles ahead, go past drag strip on the left. You turn in just past the drag strip to the left. Then park near the dirt track lot near the cross walks. The parking attendents will be waving orange flags.Any questions you can call me 336-239-4338.

Had the rental, had the bags packed and at last minute no one to go with .
Would have loved to see it live. Guess I'll be looking at the live updates tomorrow night.
