Chuck Hossfeld said on a radio talk show that he will run the first two WMT races in the Bennett #59 and then take a look to see if they will continue to run the tour for 13 races. Hossfeld will not run Riverhead, Lime Rock and Monadnock in 2011.

the ROC rules!! / Pacin ain't Racin
" honey!! I can't sleep, turn on the CUP race will ya?"
Though I totally agree with Chuck on what he said about Riverhead lowering the purse, I would like to remind him that the show is 5000 to win , and may be 10,000 to win thanks to some fans of the modifieds.
You mean, we won't be blessed all season with the only guy who wears sandals in the back pit area??....darn
I just figured he wore sandals because his feet are too hot for shoes hence the nickname "hot shoe" right?? LOL....I know money is tight and everything, but it would be a hit to the tour if he didn't run the full season!...The 59 car and his car are really good cars too!
I guess Chuck forgot that a great fan of the modifieds is adding a bunch of cash to the Riverhead purse so while yes the base purse is not great it will be spiced up a bit again this year.
Thank you Long Island Modmaniac!
Besides some tour races, hes doing R.O.C. and also just picked up a dirt modified. Also the traveling he said was alot ,gas etc.Can you blame him...no
I think you will see more and more guys going to Dirt as it makes to much sense. Why race a handful of races spread out through the year with small purses when you can race every night with very large purses.
Yes modified racing is great but dont forget that in the old days these guys raced nightly and made money.
Hey thanks for posting the link and plugging the show
