    Heard Holdrige won and they had 20 cars. Wish I could have made it up but stayed closer to
    home in Riverhead.

    Car counts are falling fast. They can't draw a full field north of Connecticut. I'm sure the economy is part of it. I also wonder if Star and Monadnock have had an effect with both tracks running mods now.

    Bingo!!! Teams are spead thin and so are the fans. 2012 is going to be a make or break year for all the tours and local tracks. Somehow we need someone to step up and take charge with standard rules, tires, proceedures or the shrinking car counts will continue.

    Star Speedway has been averaging 10-14 Mods every Saturday night. They lose some regulars to the VMRS races everyonce in a while, but that may be changing.

    I do think if a weekly track, Thompson, Star, Lee, Monadnock would put some decent money up and run weekly they could draw a nice field of cars everyweek and the fans would follow
