that would be interesting but I can't imagine more than a handful of cars.... the track really brings you back in time when you walk in.

Sunday is the only night off at NSS for the SK's & tour mods.
I don't think anyone will go way over there for 1 night unless they're paying big bucks.

tried yesterday to contact the track.
no answer on the phone, not even an answering machine.
tried the fax number, no response yet.
I read in AARN that it was bought by a guy that raced Modifieds at Riverhead.
if he wants to put on this race he's doing a terrible job promoting it.
also no info on the tracks website.

The track was bought last year by Chris Young and his wife Ann. He raced modifieds at Riverhead for a long time and his son Chris Jr. is currently running a legend car. That's all I know.

Good luck to Chris but the other than here in South Florida (closest track to me, Orlando, is over 2 hours away), the state is not lacking in race tracks, it is woefully lacking in race cars to fill those tracks. Maybe if he concentrates on the FL mods he might have a shot.

I heard talks about this race for a while last year when Mr. Young bought the track. I've been following this track on facebook and it was there when the schedule came out .

I finally got a call today responding to my fax I sent on Feb. 1st.
it was a nice lady from the track that answered my question about the pay out which is $1200. to win.
they will have some tires available but you can run the tires from NSS.
    the pit passes are $25.
    pit gates open at 11:30
    they expect maybe 8-10 cars.
if we just go to watch the have ice cold Budweiser.

I know that I'm just a pipe dreamer, not a realist, but if they do get 8 or 10 cars to show up, maybe it could grow to something more in the future. I doubt if ever will grow big at Bronson speedway, but what if it somehow does? I'm glad that Chris Young, a modified guy for a long time, is at least willing to take the gamble and I wish him good luck.

I'm heading there to show my support for the idea!

I've heard it's not as easy for the guy who are already at New Smyrna. That once parked in the infield, it's not so simple to get out and go to another track.

Hope there are some modifieds that will head there to support the Youngs.
