    Can't Afford a Raceiver

Since I can't afford a raceiver, are we allowed to use anything else like 1 or 2 way radios? I thought I saw it somewhere that we can't but I went over the rulebook and not seeing anything on it. Am I missing it or what? Don't wanna do anything I'm not supposed to being it's my first year with NEETS.

Any 1-way radio is fine. I used to use an old hand held fire scanner with ear plugs. 2 way is a definite no-no.

Hate to be a pain with the questions but does Grandview rent out raceivers or 1 way radios?

Grandview doesnt rent raceceivers. I think you might be slightly confused. The yellow raceceiver, used on Saturday night racing by the modified and late model drivers, can not be used for Sunday NEETS racing. The numbers dont reach the numbers we use for NEETS. The radio we need is larger and can be bought from Radio Shack for around $100, I believe.

    raceiever

The Radio shack one works great and as an added bonus it works at Nascar races to listen to your favorite driver.

I'm sure that if you have your own ear phones you can borrow one from someone in the other class. Just don't ask anybody to trade ear wax with you.

I believe the frequency is 154.600, so as long as that can be programmed into the radio it will work.

Any 1 way radio that can pick up our channel will do, the frequency is 154.600

2 way radios are not permitted.

From what I see on the Raceceiver website, The raceceiver only receives frequencies between 450–470 MHz. (UHF)
I did not see a VHF Raceceiver on their website.

You need a VHF receiver (scanner) to receive the NEETS channel.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
