    27 cars at SoBo

Great field, as far as car count goes. Lots of inexperience though. And from the times in practice, the leaders will be lapping cars in about 15 laps, so it should get interesting. Saw Chuck Hossfield in a Hillbilly Racing entry. That just seems strange, but good to see.

29 at the WMT opener and 27 at SMT. So there are 56 NASCAR Mods running at the same time today...hmm...

From the looks of it...looks like it was quite the opposite compared to the Icebreaker. 16 cars finished on the lead lap at South Boston compared to 10 at Thompson . About 22 cars (correct me if im wrong) finished the race. The race wasnt a snoozefest either. Plenty of racing throughout the duration of the race. Congratulations to the 44 team on their first tour victory. Lets hope the Southern Tour can keep this momentum up all season to gain some much needed recognition and a bigger purse too!

The NWSMT is really starting to pick up momentum, a great thing for mod racing in general.

If their first choice for a driver took their offer you would have REALLY thought it was strange!!

Rabbit504 you have no clue who our first choice was. And I want to give a special Thanks to Chuck Hossfield for driving this race for me, my dad and my mom. You are a true class act Chuck!

So someone else said no before James did?

    WOW!!!

Maybe a lesson could be taken from Chuckie!!

    And for the record:
I told James he should do it when he talked to me, but I was the only one who told him that.

According to the rundown, 18 were running at the end, and the longest green-flag run was 33 laps, so that helped with lapped cars, but either way, sounds like a great showing and a great race. Very happy for the southern tour.

How was the crowd at SOBO? Hope the fans showed up and supported the race. I love the track, but didn't get there this year.
