Was wondering how much gear to run @big diamond?

depend upon what RPM your motor runs best at. 3.08 for the lowest ratio on up. Tire size also affects this # phil

Guess I should have stated it differently
What I meant was how much total overall gear ratio are guys running up there
Something close to 5.60 ,more ??less??

Most guys wont tell you what gears they use. I will But I use a Pontiac motor. I used 2nd gear turbo 350 with a 3:08 rear = 5:83 . My car won a few races and was always competitive. If You go Chevy motor you will need more gear. phil

Thanks Phil but the gear ratios don't add
up the way you describe them
3.08x 1.52 is only 4.68
Anyway a if you are running a 5;83 thats probably close to what i d expect

Damn your right I must have used obama math. But I do use a 3;08 in 2nd gear. You would want more gear for Gview then BD. phil
