This is great news, love the idea... any chance the purse of yesteryear also returns? didn't this race used to pay big or was that the other big mod show there - thought it was the Bud Classic? like 18K to win, something like that?

You are indeed correct Goldy. These links show the 1982 version. A lot of familiar names including a track side interview with Richie. Sadly this was the event in which Jim Shampine lost his life.
