TWIN SPORTSMAN RACES HEADLINE “NAPA NIGHT” AUTO RACING ACTION AT WALL STADIUM THIS SATURDAY (JUNE 17)

Twin 25-lap main events for the exciting Snap-on Sportsman stock car division and a 40-lapper for the Freehold Ford Modifieds will headline “NAPA Night” auto racing action this Saturday night at Wall Stadium Speedway. Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. Main event action will follow around 7:00 p.m.

The evening will honor both Boy and Girl Scouts, as they will be admitted free when wearing an item from the official scout uniform. Both fathers and grandfathers will be saluted on Father’s Day Weekend with steak specials offered at the track refreshment stands.

On the famous third mile high-banked paved oval the Freehold Ford Modifieds will battle in a 40-lap main event. Defending champion Steven Reed of Jackson will lead the way with plenty of competition coming from four-time 2017 winner Jimmy Blewett of Howell, multi-time champ Chas Okerson of Freehold, Andrew Krause of Holmdel, Ron Frees of Brick and Derek Hopkinson of Toms River just to name a few.

The Snap-on Sportsman racers will compete in a pair of 25-lap feature races, with recent winner Jarret DiGiantomasso of Jackson, defending champ Kevin Davison of Howell and Jonathan Laureigh of Lanoka Harbor leading the way.

The Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars, Surfside Collision 4 Cylinder Stocks and the Elite Maintenance Limited Late Models are all also set for 25-lap races.

Area NAPA dealers, who will play an important role during the activities, will be awarding prizes to feature winners and will have give-aways for the fans as well. A large contingent of local NAPA dealers is expected to be on hand to enjoy the night’s activities and all of the speedway’s NAPA backed race cars are expected to be on display in the grandstand mid-way early in the evening. The NAPA drivers will be signing autographs by their cars.

Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 1:00 p.m. Regular practice will start at 3:00 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m. Qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. with main events to follow.
