The mighty 800-horsepower modifieds of the Valenti Modified Racing Series highlight this Friday night's 15-race program with two 50-lap feature events at Lee USA Speedway.

Drivers from nine states are in the Modified field with better than 20 of the popular high-speed cars expected.

Troy Talman, of Oxford MA, Todd Annarummo, of Swansea MA, Mike Douglas Jr, of Auburn NH, Russ Hersey, of Swanzey NH, Josh Cantara, of Sanford ME, and Anthony Nocella, of Woburn Ma, are among the Modified drivers in this latest appearance of the open-wheel cars.

Jeff Rocco, of Wallingford CT is one of the top-named drivers in the field driving the

Kevin Stuart #85. So is Dan Meservey Jr, of Brewster, Ma.

Qualifying heats will determine the starting lineup for the first 50-lap modified feature race while the finishing order of that event will determine the lineup for the second 50-lap main event.

Super-modifieds, Late Model Sportsmen, Hobby Stocks, Pro-4 Modifieds, Ironmen and Pure Stocks all will be on the program.

Last week's twin Super-Modified features were the most competitive

of the season with Dave Helliwell winning one and coming from 10th starting spot to place second in the second main event driving the Witkum Brothers #21. Leslie Keyser Picking up his first win of the season in the other driving the Keyser Family owned #27. The super-mods have been setting faster speeds in the past two races at Lee than ever before.

Practice sessions for the modifieds will start at 4 pm with all divisions at 5pm Qualifying heats will get the green flag at 7 p.m. Friday's first feature race will be the 30-lap Super-Modifieds, followed by a strong field of Late Model Sportsmen for 30-laps. While the modifieds will run their split 50-lap main events midway through the feature schedule.
