The Freehold Ford Modified stock cars will take center stage at Wall Stadium this Saturday night (July 29) as they compete in the “Pete & Elda’s Bar/Carmen’s Pizzeria Twin 40’s.” Also seeing double duty will be the O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks in Twin 25-lappers. The Elite Maintenance Limited Late Models and the Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars are will full out the card in 25-lap main events. Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. The evening’s main event action will follow around 7:00 p.m.

In addition to being the night’s presenting trophy sponsor Pete & Elda’s Bar/Carmen’s Pizzeria will also sponsor several cash bonus awards for both the Modifieds and Factory Stocks including Hard Charger, Hard Luck and Best Average Finish awards. Former speedway standout racer George Andretta will be on hand representing the Neptune City landmark restaurant.

On the famous third mile high-banked paved oval defending champion Steven Reed of Jackson will lead the way with expected competition coming from recent “Garden State Classic” winner Jimmy Blewett of Howell, Andrew Krause of Holmdel, Manchester’s Shanon Mongeau, Derek Hopkinson of Toms River and Jason Hearne of New Egypt just to name a few.

The Factory Stocks will be led into their twin main events by former champ and current point leader Scott Riggleman of Manchester, Mike Montano of Fort Myers, Fla., Union’s Joey Helberg, Elliott Wohl of Bayville, Tom Rajkowski of Fords and defending champ Joe Mongeau of Brick.

Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 1:00 p.m. Regular practice will start at 3:00 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m. Qualifying for the night’s program starts at 5:45 p.m. and main events will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months. Special events are also featured in the fall including the “Spooky Spectacular” in October and the season ending Turkey Derby on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.
