Monadnock Speedway Point’s battles heat up with 2 NASCAR Whelen All American Series Point Event races left!

With only 2 races left, this Saturday September 9th and next Saturday September 16 (which is Championship Saturday), the points battles have taken shape and are gearing up to come right down to the wire! Current points leaders are Todd Patnode (#24 Sportsman Modified), Joel Monahan (#03 Super Stock), Alexander Pearl (#43 Mini Stock), Jason Kozacka (#43 Thunder Stock), and Hillary Renaud (#88 Lightening Stock).
Hillary Renaud is currently sitting atop of the points of the Lightening Stocks 526 points. Steve Fucile in the #61 sits in 2nd place with 430 points. Eric Silvernale in the #4 currently sits in 3rd place with 412. Leon Keniston in the 13K holds the 4th spot with 386 points. Rounding out the top 5 in the current points standings is Rookie Alex Barden in the #27 with 284 points. Barden is currently leading the Rookie of the year standings for the lightening stocks with a 40 point lead over the 19 of Randall Phillips. The lightening stocks have September 9th off and will have their last race on Saturday September 16th!
Thunder Stocks championship battle is the tightest point’s battle of any division at this time! Jason Kozacka who has tailed 548 points only has a 6 point lead over 2nd place of James Nowakowski in the 9. Nowakowski has 542 points. Richard Vincent in the 4 has 534 points holds the 3rd spot. Craig Chaffee at 518 points is in 4th. Bruce Clark in the 39 holds the 5th spot in the current point’s standings with 466 points. No Rookie drivers have competed this year.
Alexander Pearl of Salem, CT currently holds 1st place in the Mini Stock point’s standings with 664 points. Louis Maher and his #69 hold the 2nd spot in points with 632 points. While Kevin McKnight in the #76 sits 3rd in points with 614 points. The 97 of Ethan Marsh finds himself 4th in points with 534 points. Current Rookie of the year points leader Pat Houle (57x) has the 5th spot in the overall points standings with 528 points; Houle leads the Rookie of the Year standings for the Mini Stock division by 122 over the 50 of Kevin Pittsinger.
In the Super Stock division only 10 points separate the top two in the standings. Joel Monahan controls the top spot with 704 points. Tyler Leary in the 11x is 2nd with 694 points. Rookie of the Year point’s leader Eric Pomasko in the 71 currently controls the 3rd spot in the overall point’s standings with 608 points. Cole Littlewood in the 12 is currently 4th in points with 606 points. Currently holding the 5th spot in the point’s standings is the 96 of Nancy Muni Ruot with 588. As mentioned before Pomasko has the lead in the Rookie of the Year battle and holds a 50 point lead over the 37 of Justin Littlewood.
The Sportsman Modifieds have seen various points’ leaders this season. Currently holding 1st place in the point’s standings is Todd Patnode with 736 points. Currently there is a tie for 2nd in points between the 6 of Ben Byrne (the 2017 Sportsman Modifieds Twin 25 Series Champion) and current Rookie of the Year point’s leader Matt Kimball in the 50 with 706 points. Holding the 3rd spot in the standings with 698 points Rookie contender Joel Monahan in the 03. Brian Chapin in the 44 finds himself in the mix as well with 696. Nathan Johnson in the 5j finds himself 5th in points with 688 points. The Rookie of the Year battle in the Sportsman Modified is a close one with 8 points separating Kimball and Monahan.
