New for the 2018 NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler as well as the NAPA Auto Parts Fall Final will be the addition of Vintage racing to the Saturday portion of the race program. The Vintage All-Stars will host a 20-lap event featuring cars that thrilled race fans throughout the 70’s and 80’s. Wade Gagner, promoter of the Monday night Wild Thing Kart Series, will organize the event.

“The Spring Sizzler is all about history and tradition,” explained Stafford General Manager Mark Arute. “Wade approached us earlier this year with the idea, he’d just finished his Bodine Sherri-Cup Modified and we thought it would be a great addition to Spring Sizzler Saturday.”

The Vintage All-Star event will take place Saturday, April 28th as part of NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler Weekend. Coupes, Vegas, Pintos, Cavaliers and any other cars that competed from the late 70’s and early 80’s are preferred for this event.

“I’m really excited to organize an event to pay tribute to a great era in modified racing,” said Wade Gagner, event organizer. “We are looking for late 70’s and early 80’s vintage cars to compete. 20 vintage modifieds on the half-mile at Stafford will be a sight to see. This will definitely bring back some memories of the days of old.”

The Vintage All-Stars event will consist of 2 practices, 1 heat race, and 1 feature event. All safety requirements will be per STAR regulations (this is not a STAR sanctioned event). Cars must have at least 15" wide tires and no sticker tires will be allowed.

All participants are required to pre-register for this event. To register, contact Wade Gagner directly (phone: 413-519-5473) or contact Wade on Facebook through the event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1586...0339587913485/.
