Hey Unc, how can you forget about our old friend, Quinn Vollgraff, driving the #01x Modified he picked up from Chucky (before changing the # to 99)? Speaking of Chuck Steuer, he drove a #1 Charger, as did Jeff Merkel, and Mr. "Cheeseburger In Paradise" himself in the #1 Late Model, Jim Michta in the #1 Legends Car (with the stylized red, white, and blue # like CJ).....

...there was a red car #1 at Islip that used to win all the "Run What You Brung" (Spectator Drag) races when all the cars were on the track at the same time. I can't remember his name, but those were fun to watch. You think people get excited when 2 cars race one lap now. How about telling mom that you wrecked her Torino racing 20 cars for 10 laps!!

RIP JBIII
Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional!!
Jack Hart, Modified #1! Although not from Long Island, he did race at Islip and won a 500 lapper in 1960; or was it '61 or '62....hmmmm! I guess only Marty Himes would know for sure!

Life is shorter than you think. Don't be regretful for things that you could've, should've done. There's no time like the present. Just Do It!
Yesterday is the past, tomorrow is the future and today is a Present! Tell some one that you Love Them.
I wish I was 4 1/2 years old driving my quarter midget for the first time again.
