Just spoke to John Fortin, and he asked me to pass on the news that his dad, Jerry, a long time fixture at Riverhead Raceway, passed away today. All services are being held down in Florida, no word yet on a possible memorial here on Long Island...Jerry was a great man, who loved his family and his racing family as well..He will be truly missed...
