I'm sure many of you read Dino's story on Pocono Thunder about the passing of Bill Denke. Bill was always one of my favorites..not just because he drove a Ford, but because he was considered an underdog & was also a great guy. Witnessing that first victory of his was sweet!

Dino perfectly put into words what all of us could not.

Our thoughts are with the Denke family. Bill will be missed by many.

I first met Billy Denke in 1980, the year I got into racing. Back then he ran a #00 white Camaro which he drove every other week along with Jerry Klick. A #01 Chevelle followed in 1981. When he finally won in the 90's driving the T-Bird a lot of us old timers shared the excitement and emotion with him that day. He truly was one of the good guys of Evergreen and will be missed.
