Sponsor for modifieds

It was announced at the track Sunday, that Balliet’s Country Corners is the new division sponsor for the modifieds. Along with the deal worked with the promoters on the purse, owner Matt Balliet is also giving away a $25 gift certificate to each modified heat winner, and a $15 certificate for the runner-up in each heat. The certificates are to be used at Balliet’s Country Corners, which is a Sunoco gas station, deli, and soon to have an ice cream stand. It is conviently located at the intersection of St. Johns Road and Rt. 309, not far from the track.

Matt is also crew chief for the 22X mod, driven by Don Wagner.

I got to meet both Matt and Don this weekend at the track, both are very nice guys.

I had no idea Matt owned the convenience store, but that would explain why he was standing there not buying anything when we walked in to get our snacks for the ride home! Thank you for being a sponsor! Now....did someone mention something about ice cream???
