    Mountain Speedway Weather

The forecast for this weekend is now not too promising. If it does get called and can not be run on Sunday as well, what would be the make up date be, if any?

from the 4 different weather reports, all of which seem to agree on 1 thing, "rain", it looks like a possible/probable "rainout". Saturday shows a 90% chance, with Sunday not far behind with 70%. Also says upper 30's to lower 40's, so if it does happen, make sure you've got your thermals on, and either plenty of hot coffee or Johnny Walker.

I'll be joining Geno in the booth on Saturday, so I'll keep warm for ya, Larry!

It's raining and I'll be warm under the covers. All kidding aside, Mr. Fields, how long before they might make a decision. I'm sure they are keeping an eye on the "Doppler".

As of 7 AM, it looks like it's a "go" for at least today. Question I have is, seeing just how crappy the weather is expected to be tomorrow and the possibility of the Sunday rain date, what would the actual schedule of events be (order, time etc)?

Thanks for that weather report RGee ...quick one. If the necessity arises and a cancellation/postponement is evident, how long/when will they announce it? Does anyone have an idea? Want to make sure either way, when I get up tomorrow, that I don't go all the way over and find out it's been set back.

It is raining outside my window... But as of 8AM, all systems appear to be a go for today. We are trying hard to get everything in today so people can have a day to rest this weekend.

See you there! Bring an umbrella!

If you are in doubt, call (570) 788-7544... I will not have access to a comp during the day. The track phone knows all (at least about the weather).

Probably get the same "we're in a holding pattern" message. We've decided not to bother now. If it rains, good for us; if it doesn't, enjoy. But if it does, remember that tomorrow's schedule, as per someone I spoke to at the track, will start at 12:30. By the time it's all over, if it does go on, most will be looking at very little sleepy time for work on Monday.

Check the original schedule-the show starts 1 1/2 hrs later with the Late Model Race going before the SS race (barring more rain of course). God Bless all coming back over the Cross Bronx on a Sunday night.

I change my previous statement. Schedule is a bit different for Sunday. Check out the revised schedule on www.waltdemorris.com.
