NASCAR Vice Chairman Bill France Statement on the Passing of Jack Arute Sr.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 3, 2006) – “Racing has lost one of its best friends. Jack Arute Sr. certainly helped build our sport and helped make NASCAR what it is today. He was a ‘man’s man,’ a personal friend, and he will be greatly missed. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Arute family,” NASCAR Vice Chairman Bill France said.

I was reading on speed 51 that Jack Arute Sr passed away Monday morning. He was a class guy and will be missed.
